Man was born to fellowship with God, forever.
Those who are saved and make it to heaven will fellowship with Him, forever.
Jesus says: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:20).
We know God through His Son Jesus.
The deepest reality of knowing Him is fellowship with Him.
God is eternity.
He is life (John 1, John 14:6).
He is existence.
He is love (1 John 4:8).
He is holy.
And infinitely, eternally more.
He has revealed Himself as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
His Son Jesus Christ is the revelation of God (John 1).
He is the image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15).
He is the exact representation of God’s nature (Hebrews 1:3).
He is Son of God and . . . the Lord God Almighty (Matthew 3:17, John 8:58).
God wants every person to find eternal life.
Jesus died for the world (John 3:16). God is not willing that any perish but that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
Every child under the age of about five, who dies, goes directly to heaven, where they will live forever. People who have visited heaven confirm this truth.
The truth that God gave His Son Jesus to the world reveals God’s love for the world and His eternal compassion for all people.
Jesus has revealed in recent times more proof of His love and compassion for all, including for those lost in hell.
Jesus Sheds Tears for the Lost
In 1976, Jesus visited an American woman Mary Baxter and took her to hell. He commissioned her to tell others about it.
Her book “A Divine Revelation of Hell” is the story of her visits to hell and heaven and her visions and revelations.
Numerous times during their visits to hell, Jesus shed His tears for those lost in hell.
In the midst of their visits, after speaking to those lost in hell, Jesus shed tears of compassion. Jesus said to her:
“God, our Father, gave each one of us a will so that we could choose whether we would serve Him or Satan. You see, God did not make hell for His people. Satan deceives many into following him, but hell was made for Satan and his angels. It is not my desire, nor that of My Father, that anyone should perish.” Tears of compassion ran down Jesus’ cheeks (“A Divine Revelation of Hell”, 63).
“Tears fell down Jesus’ cheeks as they moved to the next pit” (“A Divine Revelation of Hell”, p. 34).
Jesus Will Have to Wipe Away His Own Tears
Jesus took a minister named Jesse Duplantis to heaven. While there, Jesus has revealed that He will shed tears when He has turn away those who do not make it to heaven. He said:
“’The worst day of my life is yet to come . . . You know that scripture where I said I will wipe away all tears in heaven?’” (“Close Encounters of the God Kind”, p. 125)
Jesus was referring to Revelation 21:4-5: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Jesus said:
“Those include the tears in my eyes, Jesse. On that great Judgment Day, I will have to tell some of the creation I love to depart from me. I dread that day. I dread it! I dread it! Jesse, it’s final. I can’t change it. Tears flowed from my eyes the day my creation, Adam, fell. But I knew I would send myself. I had a chance to touch people. But that day is coming, and it’s final. Once it’s said, I can’t change it. I have to wipe the tears from my eyes. Tell them I’m coming, Jesse” (Close Encounters of the God Kind, p. 127-128).
